According to a report by Politico, the expected indictment of former US President Donald Trump over his hush money payment to adult film actor Stormy Daniels may be delayed for a month due to a scheduled hiatus for the grand jury in the case in Manhattan. The report, based on an anonymous source "familiar with the proceedings", suggests that any indictment of Trump would be pushed to late April at the earliest.
However, the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, could change the grand jury schedule and ask it to convene during planned breaks. Trump has denied any wrongdoing and claims to be a victim of prosecutorial bias. He also faces legal jeopardy over his business affairs, retention of classified records, and an allegation of rape in New York.
